It is against the WUTC rules to accept a non-refundable deposit for a move, but administration fees and booking fees are allowed. This is our only fee.  The reason we do this is to cover some losses for canceled moves.  If someone cancels a move and we have held the date for them we lose both the money we would have made on that job as well as a chance at someone else who had requested a move on the same date.  Our booking fee have never covered the cost of cancelled moves in a year.
